Precocious Performer

Here is the video of Makenna's Preschool Christmas program, which we attended last night. What a great night! The night included dinner, the kids' program and a visit from Santa, and then dessert and treats.

And how fun to watch her perform! She was in her element, that is for sure. She does occasionally get shy, but not this night! The teacher gave the signal to sing louder (holding her ears - which some of the kids mimic) and she got the message! Andy is in the back of the room zooming in and you can hear her, loud and clear!

Don't you love how it looks like she is telling someone off when she says "Jesus" during "The Virgin Mary had a baby boy" song! I wonder if she thinks he was in trouble! ;P

And watch out! She wants to wish you a merry Christmas!

I thought I'd include a picture of Kenna and I that we took before we went on our "date" to see Madeline's Christmas Musical which was being put on at the Surrey Arts Centre. It was a surprise for Kenna, which was fun. She knew we were having a date together, but didn't know what we were doing till right before we left the house. We got dressed up and headed out into the falling snow (eeeek!), ending our date with a trip to a Toys R Us to write a Christmas wish list. It was lovely! :)

That is such a cute video! I love following your blog and my friend sure loves the sling that I bought from you last year. I have to say though, that I think I know the little girl standing next to makenna. Is that Mollie?

Okay a friend of mine who follows your blog pointed me to this and I laughed my butt off as your little gal was next to my Mollie and I am pretty sure you were right by me in the audience filming - on top of it all I bought a sling off of you when Wil was little- cam to your house to get it and everything. I thought I recoqnized you! LOL LOL Anyhow small world. I don't have a current blog but am a teacher and do photography now - www.deannanilsonphotography.com or www.facebook.com/deannanilsonphotography

SMALL WORLD! Too funny that you recognized Mollie beside Makenna, Ashley! I guess our girls go to school together, hey Deanna? That is cool. And funny that back in 2007 you were at my house with Mollie getting a sling! I just looked back at my emails and when you came I must have been hugely pregnant. So funny!

How you do and Ashley know each other? Don't ask how we know each other (or I'll seem way old!).

How fun that we found each other! We now live in a house at 154 and 95. You are close by?

I live at 100th and 157th so super close too!!! I know Ashley because we were all on a mom board when our first ones were babies - all August babies. Now we all have two or more. I asked Mollie and she said McKenna is my friend Mommy! LOL

The video is so nice! The little girl is a total performer. She knows how to project in front of spectators.

At home, my children love music. My wife and I influenced their love for musical instruments. Also, I had lyrics at home that I'm planning to sell. My lyrics has been written within five months, at least two a month, and intended for contests and auditions.

By the way, thanks for sharing the video and the photos! It made me smile.
